After several months spent in Algeria, Géneviève decided to return to Côte d’Ivoire, her country of origin. Upon her return, she received financial support to set up her reintegration project. Today, she is the owner of a restaurant in the commune of Marcory.

Cultivating Seeds of Cohesion and Solidarity
Climatic hazards negatively impact the livelihoods and lifestyles of affected communities. Two young who returned with IOM started their own agroecological project, which provides community members with sustainable employment opportunities.

In Daloa, Oumar, a returned migrant, and 198 other young people from the city are working together for sanitation and sustainable waste management. “My dream is that Daloa will be in five years one of the cleanest cities in Africa like Kigali,” Diarrassouba said.
